Little Creatures Pale Ale brewed by Little Creatures Brewing in Fremantle, Western Australia, is a pale ale. 5.2% alcohol in 330ml bottles.
Thanks to Nigel for being my first guest on the show, and sharing his recent visit to the Little Creatures brewery.
This was such a pleasant surprise beer for me, since I wasn’t expecting such a strong hop flavour for a pale ale. So if you like strong hop flavours you’ll like this one.
The marketing for Little Creatures is spot on. Everything is simple yet complete, from website to bottle to packaging. I really like the website and packaging. But I’m always amazed that brewers don’t put their website on the packaging material. From bottle to carton.
But in the end it comes down to the taste and I rate this a top shelf beer in my book. Can’t wait to try their other beers.
If you live in Brisbane and want to join me for a beer on mybeerjourney.com just leave me a comment on the blog.
Dos XX or Dos Equis from the Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma brewery in Mexico is a pilsner ale. 4.5% alcohol in 330ml bottles.
I rate this beer as a top shelf beer.
They also have a really good website www.dosequis.com with a lot going on in there to build interaction with the visitor, although to much fluff for me. At least the beer is good so you can forgive the rest.
I keep forgetting to mention that you can subscribe via youtube, iTunes, RSS, and don’t forget to signup by email as well.
Leave a comment with your thoughts on Dos XX or if you have any suggestions for me.
Miller Chill from the Miller Brewing Company in Wilwaukee, Wisconson, USA is a pale ale. 4.2% alcohol in 355ml bottles. It’s a low carb beer with lime.
I rate this beer as a low shelf beer.

In this episode I cover the Endeavour True Vintage Beer Amber Ale and Endeavour True Vintage Beer Pale Ale from a new micro brewery Endeavour in NSW, Australia.
The Amber Ale @ 5.2% alcohol in 330ml bottles was my favourite, very rich and malty.
The Pale Ale @ 4.5% alcohol in 330ml bottles, is for those that like a fruity flavour to your beers.
Could easily see me having the Amber Ale with a really nice steak.
Leave me your comments if you’ve tried the Endeavour beers and what you thought of them.
PS Sorry about the patchy lighting, looks like I need a new video camera.
Here is a beer I never would have tried before starting my beer journey.
Oettinger Pils is a German beer. 4.7% alcohol – 330ml bottle, 500ml cans
I rate this a Mid to Bottom shelf.

PS Sorry about the dodgey recording, still learning how to use my new Sony recording device, and then I realised I recorded the video on VGA instead of high definition. Will get it right next episode.
XXXX Bitter. A Queensland institution. Watch the show for the full review. Final rating is top shelf, but it will be easy to knock this one off once I get to the micro brews that are producing such good beers.

Hey, don’t forget to leave me a comment with your thoughts on XXXX Bitter and what do you think of my idea of hitting the streets and doing my beer journey reviews at different locations.?
Well it’s ANZAC (Australia and New Zealand Army Corps) day in Australia and my kids and I pause to remember those that have fallen before us to allow us live the life that we enjoy in Australia today. We do this every year at our local park where there is a memorial service held on the 25th April.
In this episode I chose to continue my beer journey with XXXX Summer Bright Lager. Brewed by Lion-Nathan (not sure if it is brewed locally here in Brisbane) and it’s a main street brewers in Australia. I’ve done the Brisbane XXXX brewery tour many years ago and I plan on doing it again and covering it for the show.
As I mentioned make sure you check out two other beer online tv shows, two beer queers and beermen.tv
Make sure to leave me a comment with your thoughts on the XXXX Summer Bright Lager.
Welcome to MBJ – my beer journey. This first episode is very raw but I just had to get it out. After a hard day working in the yard I just had to record this episode and taste my favourite beer. Carlton MID.
Carlton MID is brewed by Fosters in Victoria Australia, and this is one of their main stay brews, that’s won awards in the past as well.
Sorry about the video camera battery going flat, I didn’t get to cover anywhere near what I wanted to say.
Let me know by leaving me a comment what you think about Carlton MID. The good, bad, or ugly.
